Our last day in Berlin was saved for two super stylish flea markets, which are handily situated just a short tram ride from each other in Prenzlauerberg. We shopped til we dropped and I was sure Easyjet weren't going to let us on the plane home! The first market was in a leafy square called Arkona Platz and as usual we arrived as the stall holders were setting up.

My first purchase was a cracker - a 1980s roller skate shaped bag, in ace conditon. I wonder if the bag's original owner used to take her skates to the local roller disco in it.... Aww - Bring back roller discos! Other finds included a 1970s red plastic bathroom set, 2 huge 1960s bauble necklaces, a 1950s diner ceiling lamp, a heap of homemade vinyl polka dot hangers and a quirky peanut dispenser from the craziest stall holder in the square - the Orange Dude. His fun stand in the centre of the market glows with all the kitsch orange plastic goodies - it's a tangerine dream!

We stopped off for a quick ice-cream sundae and to take a peek at our purchases, then hopped on a tram to Boxhagener Platz. The majority of stall owners were young locals selling brightly coloured GDR plastic goodies and lots of quality vintage lamps and furniture. I'm gonna drive a truck over next time! We treated ourselves to a matching pair of 1960s chrome ceiling lamps and I found a red vinyl shopper with a spazzy Jane Fonda illustration on the front and the word 'AEROBICS'. Now I've got this bag, there's no excuse to skip the gym! Oh, and I also topped up my brooch collection with a stack of 1980s diamante pieces.

We had a lorra lorra fun and are going back to Berlin in July when I launch the new Lady Luck Rules OK collection at Bread and Butter - my first European trade show. I'll tell you more about that one soon...

Hey Laura,
I have added the Mini G's again, they've only been on the site one day and nearly sold out, ouch! Well now, how can I best advise you on the Crazy Crayons? Currently the go-go green are the most popular colour, but I have to admit the sunny yellow version has been permenantly planted in my left ear since I found them. But then pink is always a gals best friend..........decisions, decisions..........
Good luck with your exams x
Hey!
I ordered the Mini G's, thankyou! and i decided on the sunny yellow, seeing as it's rainy in wales and they'll cheer me up! :)
Thanks, it must be lucky to get luck from Lady Luck!! hehe
