I had a lovely treat in the post this morning - the beautifully packaged book Fashion Market II. I met lovely Yiying through a link swap earlier last year and a few months later she popped round for tea and biscuits and interviewed me for her 2nd book. She took oodles of photos around my home and work room and we giggled our way through LLROK's history, inspirations and ambitions for the future. The book also covers interviews with 12 other artists and designers whose labels began at a fashion market, mostly Spitalfields and UP market in Brick Lane's Truman Brewery.
Interviews include - Specific Flavour, 20th Century Icons, Spoon, Lights Out, As Twee As It Can Be, Misc., K45, Whim Wham, Snuglo, Netty and Matty and The Magnificent Chatwin Brothers.
With the demise of the historical Spitalfields market due to the gross shopping complex - this book reminds us how vital fashion markets are in supporting young creativity and the spirit of the independent. I feel a spot of protesting coming on!

Another big thanks for the goodies, I wore rainbow fever to uni today and made a cheerful jangly noise in my eerily silent life drawing class, and my new groove is in the heart necklace is a welcome replacement for the one I lost while drunk recently. Ooops! Anyway, I’m already planning my next buy. I think I’m addicted!

WOW is all i can say. You amazed me. The packaging was uber cool and the necklace (ash)is quite possible the coolest thing i've ever owned and i have you to thank for that. So thank you. It even surprised me how impressed i could be over such a dinky box. I can't wait to order more great stuff!
