A hop, skip and a jump away from Superette I was able to find a gem in the crown (or should I say ears) of East London. In aid of Mickey's Magical Party at Disneyland Paris, Disney has joined forces with a whole bunch of characters to create 'My Mickey Ears Auction’. Each set of ‘ears’ are currently displayed at START boutique and for this reason you could easily spot us on our lunch break looking in with lustful eyes! Our personal favourite is the checked cat ears from PPQ however there are many other entries from designers including Luella's black flower topped carnation, Henry Holland's pom poms and Giles Deacon's spiked cap. Plus celebrities including Patsy Kensit, Katie Price and Estelle have all customised their ears to reflect their personality. All the tiny artworks are on auction raising money for Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. So not only can you get your mitts on a one-of-a-kind piece but you can also wear it with pride! The exhibition runs until Wednesday 27th May and the auction ends on 5th June.
