Sylvia Ugga is a French graphic designer, screen printer and red devil living between Paris and London. We were introduced by John Griffin when he was teaming up like minded artists and shops in Shoreditch for Through the Pane which is part of the Concrete and Glass festival. John says "From the 2nd-19th October a range of art is being displayed in the windows of shops, bars and restaurants of Shoreditch. Peer in and find out who might be peering back at you. Go inside those shops to see what else may be on display; a broad selection of media, displaying the works of various independent photographers and artists from around London."

Sylvia popped into Superette last week to create her window installation with a zillion pink balloons and a cherry picked selection of her amazing Derby Girl prints. She painstakingly strung all the balloons together and then hung them from the ceiling with the use of a very long thin stick and a piece of blu tack, oh the dedication! After half an hour and a few pops here and there the ceiling of Superette was a sea of neon pink and the fluoro prints look perfect against our pink and black wall. All in all it's one of the best window displays we've ever had!

We hope you can come and meet the Derby Girls! The prints are also for sale and if you wanna commission Sylvia for a graphic or screen printing project we can give you all her details.
