The title is a little misleading as it refers to 2 nights out. Unfortunately you can't go to a Schla La La Roller disco - it would be fun though! On Wednesday night we popped in to see the girls play and enjoyed watching Beyond the Valley of the Dolls on a huge screen on the dancefloor. We also bumped into Chantal who was wearing a LLROK classic Rolling Stones singlet - pictured below. Yay!
Last night I found my spiritual home at Canvas in Kings Cross at the ROLLER DISCO! It was such a gas! I hadn't roller skated for over 10 years (or drank alco pops - that's all they had!). I wore the sparkliest gold jacket, pink fingerless gloves and one of my Roller Girl necklaces - next time I'll wear a visor and legwarmers too. I checked my camera in the cloakroom by accident so I have no photos but I shall be returning very soon with camera in hand and slowly morphing into Brandy Roller Girl from Boogie Nights. Oh yeah sister I got the moves!

i would love to go boogie at a roller disco, i might have to suggest that as an outing idea sometime! i also must see the schla la las, they are the kookiest gals ever (^_^)
i saw the schla la las play at truck festival last july and they did a special schla la la cover of 'ca plane pour moi'. it was wicked. i then kept spotting them around the festival (which was tiny) in their glamorous white dresses with muddy wellies. fantastic.

That looks sooo fun!! my friend bought me a pair of vintage roller boots for my birthday, they are awesome! but so far i have only mastered going up and down my hall haha, maybe one day i will be good enough to boogie the night away in me boots at a roller disco without killing meself..but probably not..

I'm so sorry Cherry Red it's not Preston's Chantelle but a very sassy American gal who used to buy my goodies from Portobello Market. In fact she also popped into Superette on Saturday and snapped up a pair of pink polka dot leggin's.... Hey Lors, yes I have seen the retro inspired roller boots now on sale and Ebay always has a few crackers. I'm currently watching a pair with lightning bolts and the tag line "cheapskates" ha ha!
