I dropped by BLISS magazine HQ yesterday and met with Emma who launched the competition to win work experience here with us at LLROK. Emma was really pleased with all the entries and we ploughed through the pile searching for our winner. I knew the winning entry the minute I saw it because it was super colourful with lightning bolts, skulls, stars and ribbons pinned on. I really enjoyed the fun fashion tips and ace customising ideas graffittied all over the place. The whole piece had the humour and rock'n'roll spirit of LLROK with cute details such as rock badges for buttons and safety pins instead of zips. The icing on the cake was the photo Lucie included of herself in front her rock poster strewn bedroom wall. So, Lucie Benjamin of Hertfordshire has won our competition with her "Butterfly Dress"! Yippee!

In very close second place was Rachel Blink from South Wales with her "Strawberry Grrl" bag inspired by Japanese Street Fashion and all things girly and different - pictured above. I love the vintage buttons sewn onto the sheet of paper and the pom pom detail. Uber cute. Below are some more of my fave entries...

I wish I owned a pair of "Fruity Flats" by Louise Thomas of Gloucester. A pair in every flavour!

I also love the American "Lucky Charms" cereal so I was delighted by Cherry Ann Biearley from Surrey's entry. The Mary Jane style of shoe and the nutritional information as a print on the sole are unforgettable details - Manolo watch out!

3 final great entries (from left to right) were Sarah Rogers from Dunstable with her "Silhouette Vintage Jewellery Collection"; Natalie Dunning from Stockport's "School Wears You Out" design; and Clare Mountain from Nottingham's adorable candy striped sash camisole. Thanks so much to everyone who entered - it's been a blast! I look forward to meeting the winner Lucie and having a fun week of work experience.
